Smooth Finish.Closed-Back Louvered Shutters and Raised Panel Shutters are constructed of long-lasting S4S (smooth cedar) KD (kiln dried) Western Red Finger Joint Paint Grade. Stain-grade shutters are also available in Closed-Back Louvered or Raised Panel Shutters. Strength & Durability. Open-Back Louvered Shutters are constructed of long-lasting S4S (smooth cedar) KD (kiln dried) Western Red Cedar Shutters. Open-Back Louvered Shutters are paintable and stain-grade. The Closed-Back and Raised Panel Exterior Wood Shutters are mortised, glued and stapled while the open louver is doweled and glued. Natural Finish. Cedar is a long-lasting wood; and in its natural state, not adversely affected by rain or sun. It readily accepts oil- and water-based paints and stains. However, if these shutters are stained or painted, they must be treated equally on both sides. Customized to your specifications.Paint finish available upon request as well as custom specs.
