About Shipping

Higher fuel costs have forced all Common Freight carriers to charge for residential deliveries. If you have a commercial delivery address that can receive your order there will be no extra charge. If you will have your order delivered to a residential location you will be charged a $75.00 surcharge. This DOES NOT apply if delivery is by UPS Ground, DHL Ground or Federal Express Ground carriers. We will always ship by these carriers when possible. However they have size and weight limitations that require shipment by common carriers.

Residential deliveries by common carrier will require an adult be there to accept and sign for the shipment. A common carrier will not carry your shipment into your home. They will move the shipment to the back door of the truck and will expect you to remove it from there. If you request a lift gate for delivery they will charge you an extra $75.00 for the use of a lift gate. ALL of these extra charges will be a cost you will have to pay. It is not included in our free freight policy.

Also Common Carriers use large trucks. If you have a narrow street, low hanging trees or low power lines that prevent them from a safe delivery you will have to make other arrangements with the trucking company for delivery. If there are any charges for this extra service you will be responsible for paying them.

How to Handle Shipping Damage

Sadly, it does happen; but fortunately, very few shipments are damaged. The satisfactory resolution is dependent upon your actions at time of delivery. The shipper, when delivering, will ask for a signature that all was received in good order. You MUST inspect the items you are signing for BEFORE you sign for the goods. If you see any damage to the box or anything that would indicate hidden damage, it MUST be noted on the delivery receipt. If the product is damaged, we suggest you refuse the shipment.

If you fail to note the possibility of damage on the delivery receipt, you will find it VERY difficult to obtain any relief from the shipping company, should you have damage that was not noted on the receipt. If you have ANY concerns about damage, I strongly encourage you to call the shipper's local terminal and speak to the manager about your concerns before the driver leaves.

AGI Group is not responsible for shipping damage. The shipping company is responsible for shipping damage. If you sign for a delivery that is damaged, you accept all responsibility for the shipment and any damage that may have occurred during the shipping of your goods.

With your help, we will be able to provide maximum delivery service at the best possible price.
