- Smooth Finish.Closed-Back Louvered Shutters and Raised Panel Wood Shutters are constructed of long-lasting S4S (smooth cedar) KD (kiln dried) Western Red Finger Joint Paint Grade. Stain-grade shutters are also available in Closed-Back Louvered or Raised Panel Shutters.
- Strength & Durability. Open-Back Louvered Wood Shutters are constructed of long-lasting S4S (smooth cedar) KD (kiln dried) Western Red Cedar Shutters. Open-Back Louvered Shutters are paintable and stain-grade. The Closed-Back and Raised Panel Exterior Wood Shutters are mortised, glued and stapled while the open louver is doweled and glued.
- Natural Finish. Cedar is a long-lasting wood; and in its natural state, not adversely affected by rain or sun. It readily accepts oil- and water-based paints and stains. However, if these wood shutters are stained or painted, they must be treated equally on both sides.
