Our USA-made Legends Standard Raised Panel Composite Shutters are crafted of Extira®, an exterior grade, treated wood composite that provides more moisture, rot and termite resistance than wood. Extira is composed primarily of hardwood chips, which are often byproducts of sawmills. The composite material is manufactured with a patented sealed press, steam-injection manufacturing technology. The finished composite product can be milled with the same machinery and techniques as wood.
